Hidden Hills Ranch provides a high standard of therapeutic, animal-assisted activities for children and adults with social, emotional and special needs such as autism, down syndrome, depression, anxiety and underlying symptoms of trauma and/or abuse.

The benefits of these sessions may include:

  • Developing a special bond with the animals.

  • Explore beliefs about self, others and the world, building a sense of purpose.

  • Creating healthy social interactions.

  • Identify and verbalize emotions.

  • Enjoying an increased sense of relaxation in an outdoor environment.

Therapeutic Sessions: Using the Barnyard Love minis, as well as the other animals, a facilitator will work with children ages 5 to 18 to learn new coping strategies in a peaceful, relaxed, safe and fun way.

TESTIMONY: “During COVID my 10 year old daughter experienced extreme emotional distress. So much so that she attempted suicide 3 different ways. Thank GOD she wasn't successful! I was at my wits end about what to do and a friend said I should take her out to Hidden Hills Ranch. When I was told there was a waiting list, I explained the situation and somehow was able to get my daughter involved in a program. I am thrilled to say that she is now 11 years old and doing remarkably well! She takes classes at Hidden Hills Ranch and we attribute the turn-around in her emotional well being to her involvement with other children in this beautiful environment. We often talk about what would have happened without Hidden Hills Ranch. We know that Hidden Hills Ranch saved her life! - Erica E
